Frequently Asked Questions

What are Elderberries and the benefits of Elderberry?

Elderberries come from a plant that is highly recognized as a natural health remedy to support the immune system. Elderberry may also help with inflammation and joint pain, digestion, overall daily energy, and has heart health and anti-cancer benefits.

How often should I take Elderberry syrup and what is the dose that I should take?

We recommend taking elderberry syrup daily to continuously support your immune system. Some customers take it all year long and others take it only when they are feeling sick. We recommend talking with your physician and doing your own research when it comes to using elderberry. Adults may take approximately one tablespoon and children may take approximately one teaspoon of elderberry syrup daily. You can take elderberry syrup once a day or up to three times daily when sick.

How is LA Elderberry Syrup different than the elderberry syrup you can buy at the store?

LA Elderberry Syrup uses ingredients that are all natural and organic. We sweeten our syrup with raw, local honey instead of using sugars or unnatural sweeteners. We also use no preservatives in our products, which is why our syrup must stay refrigerated and has a refrigerated shelf life of 3 months.

How should my syrup be stored and how long does it stay good?

LA Elderberry Syrup must be refrigerated, even before opening and will stay good for approximately 3 months.

Why must children be over the age of 1 to take your syrup?

LA Elderberry Syrup is sweetened with raw, local honey. Children under the age of 1 cannot have products that contain any honey due to the risk of botulism.

What is the difference between your original blend elderberry syrup and your allergy blend elderberry syrup?

The only difference between the original blend and the allergy blend is one ingredient, nettle leaf. The allergy blend syrup contains nettle leaf, which is an all-natural antihistamine. Both our allergy blend and original blend syrups have the same immune system benefits.

Can anyone take your allergy blend syrup?

We recommend our allergy blend syrup for children and adults who are over the age of 12. This is due to nettle leaf sometimes causing upset stomachs in younger children.

Why isn’t your body butter able to be shipped?

Our body butter is also made with all natural and organic ingredients and is whipped when making it. We do not put preservatives in our body butter, and it must stay at room temperature in order to maintain the appropriate consistency and texture.
